Packing for Vietnam
Please remember you are flying economy class so your maximum allowable luggage weight will be 20kg -25kg. Anything more and the airlines will charge you!
There isn’t much that you can’t get in the big cities in Vietnam. You won’t have to pack much as almost anything you could want is available in Ho Chi Minh City.
Pack a suitable amount of work clothes to at least get you through the first few weeks; the same goes for casual wear, keeping in mind that you won’t need much cold weather wear, if any, while in the south of Vietnam and that the country is home to a large textile and garment industry, which makes brand name clothes – Levis, Adidas, Fila - for export and purchase locally; there are also numerous tailors.
